Savoring your summer days and nights before school hits again? Long Beach has plenty of fun options for you to sprint through your vacation with—and even enjoy into the school year!

Dig up your old prom clothes and dance like nobody’s watching at Summer and Music’s (SAM) Punk Rock Prom on Saturday, July 29 at the Pike Outlets. You can keep the music jumping at the annual Love Long Beach Celebration at Shoreline Aquatic Park from July 29 to 30. Complete with top dance DJ’s, a yoga station, food court and much more, this $5 event celebrates everything Long Beach.

From August 19 to 20, enjoy the iconic Tiki Beach Festival—an annual celebration of islander culture with traditional arts & crafts, fire dancing, live music, a cultural center and the traditional Aloha food court. After enriching your taste buds here, run over to the Taste of Downtown from August 23 to 24, where several restaurants throughout Downtown Long Beach showcase their food between live entertainment and festive drinks.

Once you’ve reached the school year, the fun won’t stop! You can look forward to Week of Welcome—September 6 to 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Central Quad. Join thousands of students in surveying CSULB’s 200+ student organizations with music, table games and free goodies. You can sign up your club here.

And September 8, get ready to turn it up with Smorgasport 2017! The annual school year kickoff carnival will welcome you back with round-up rides, food trucks, inflatable games, prizes, dance performances, live DJ’s and a ton more. Your student organization can sign up for a booth here!
