An Evening With Common!

Tonight the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center is getting hip-hopped out as students will get to spend “An Evening With Common!”

ASI Beach Pride Events is continuing this popular series with Common, a prolific, Grammy Award-wining rapper, actor, poet and film producer from Chicago. Common will be sharing his life story and recounting lessons he’s learned along the way with CSULB students.

For more on his story, check out his bestselling memoir “One Day It’ll All Make Sense,” where he details his background and nuances of his identity.

The event will be held in the Richard & Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. on March 15. It is free for all students, and tickets will be available at the USU Info & Ticket Center until tickets we’re out. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, and are open to faculty and staff beginning March 13 if available.
