The Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) Recycling Center at CSULB is an award-winning, state-certified drop-off facility and redemption center that has been serving the Long Beach community since 1976. It manages recycling for the University Student Union, Student Recreation & Wellness Center, 49er Shops, Inc., dining halls and on-campus dormitories. It provides a convenient location where students and community members can donate recyclable materials and redeem their CA Redemption Value items. ASI Recycling is proud to be the most, and best, reviewed recycling center in Long Beach, and honored to be a representative of CSULB’s dedication to sustainability for both students and the community at large.

Located at 5800 Atherton St., between major cross streets Bellflower Boulevard and Palo Verde Avenue, ASI Recycling offers a friendly environment and quick, on-site payout for CRV materials. We also accept:

  • Cardboard
  • Scrap metal
  • Mixed paper and newspaper items
  • And non-CRV containers in our customer donation area

Working in tandem with the dining halls, ASI Recycling also has begun servicing compostable material from the Hillside Dining Hall, in efforts to track and best handle food waste on campus. We look forward to serving you!
