ASI Adds Juicy J to Big Event 2017 Lineup

Long Beach, Calif. - Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is bringing Academy Award-winning, Grammy-nominated artist Juicy J to join Jeremih and Ella Mai on the Walter Pyramid stage for the 2017 ASI Big Event on May 12.

Co-founding Southern hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia in 1991, Juicy J has assembled a prolific body of work and is known today by Grammy-nominated song "Dark Horse" with Katy Perry and World Music Award-winning song "23" with Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa and Mike Will Made It. The Billboard chart-topping artists is one of a select few rappers with an Academy Award, which he won in 2006.

"The ASI Big Event is a chance to give back to students after all their hard work, allowing them to celebrate and end the year with a bang," said third year English major and Lead Program Assistant Kaila-Marie Hardaway. "There's always a lot of hype and energy surrounding the event, but we're raising the bar this year with what will be an unforgettable, unmissable performance."

Performing alongside Juicy J is R&B singer and songwriter Jeremih, whose catalogue boasts Billboard chart-topping songs like "Birthday Sex" and Grammy-nominated "Planez" featuring J. Cole.

Also taking the Walter Pyramid stage is London-based R&B singer Ella Mai, who The FADER dubbed "The New Queen Of The Breakup Anthem" for her hit single "She Don't" featuring Ty Dolla Sign.

The ASI Big Event will take place on Friday, May 12 in the Walter Pyramid. Doors open at 6 p.m. For ticket and additional info visit www.asicsulb.org/bigevent2017.
