Make Time for Picturesque Walking Paths

Make the most of the cool weather with outdoor activities! Bring your camera and take a closer look at the El Dorado Nature Center. Spend the day exploring wildlife habitats and observing the landscape engulfed in flowers, trees and serene walkways. For those looking for a beachside stroll, Bluff Park’s paths are open to visitors. Take in the scenic views of the Pacific Ocean while the coastal breeze glides over you. Also, for hiking enthusiasts the Student Recreation and Wellness Center recommends trying out the nearby trails in Malaga Cove, Bluff Cove, Upper Hot Spring Canyon and Black Star Canyon.

Get Around in Style with Outdoor Rentals

See the city in a way you’ve never experienced before! Wheel Fun Rentals in Shoreline Village is offering a variety of rentals including swan boats, electric bikes, tandem bikes, surreys and coupes. Bring a housemate and reserve your spot swan boating around rainbow lagoon, pedaling down a Long Beach shoreline or taking a night ride on a colorfully lit surrey. And for those more interested in recreation on the water, Alamitos Bay has kayaks and paddleboards available for rent. Plan an afternoon of adventure, paddle through the Naples Canals, park your vehicle at a local restaurant and sightsee!

Have a Destination Picnic with a View

Engage in some rest and relaxation time while eating a delicious meal! Appreciate the sights and sounds of nature by picnicking along the Long Beach Waterfront. Lay your blanket in front of Lion’s Lighthouse and enjoy watching the waves and hearing the birds fly overhead. Another great picnic spot is Overlook Park in Naples Plaza. Be transported to Italy with the ambiance of beautiful architecture and active canals.

Be a Tourist in the City for a Day
