Movies on the House Spring 2019

Being a student at Long Beach State comes with a lot of perks! Thanks to ASI and Beach Pride Events, one of those perks is the Movies on the House event series.

A new semester means a new set of movies for you to enjoy. All movies will be playing at 6 and 9 p.m. in the USU Beach Auditorium. These screenings are free for LBSU students and $5 for non-students!

  • Feb. 13 and 14: “Bohemian Rhapsody”
    This year, Movies on the House will kick off with 2018’s Golden Globe winner Bohemian Rhapsody, the bombastic celebration of Queen and their legendary front-man, Freddie Mercury.
  • Feb. 27 and 28: “Ralph Breaks The Internet”
    The next movie in the lineup is “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” the praised sequel to the Disney’s beloved “Wreck-it-Ralph.” This colorful animated movie harnesses and expands the strengths of its predecessor by dialing up the emotion, comedy and character relationships within its 2 hour runtime.
  • March 13 and 14: “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald”
    Next up is “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald,” which is the second prequel in the Harry Potter saga. This film breathes magic back into the Harry Potter franchise with strong performances from Johnny Depp and Eddie Redmayne as their wizarding conflicts continue.
  • March 27 and 28: “Aquaman”
    Follow the breathtaking journey of Aquaman on his quest to retake the throne of his home world! Aided by Mera, Aquaman must embrace his roots and wave his rights to seclusion as he swims his way to become the King of Atlantis.
  • April 10 and 11: “Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse”
    Another amazing movie in the series is “Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.” This beautifully animated film blends bold storytelling, raw emotion, and fresh humor into one of the greatest superhero films ever made.
  • April 24 and 25: “Glass”
    The final movie on the list is Glass, M. Night Shyamalan’s highly anticipated sequel to Split and Unbreakable. This suspenseful movie is elevated by the exciting performances of Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy and Bruce Willis!

Movies on the House is an amazing opportunity to watch some exciting films without breaking the bank at the movie theater. You won’t want to miss out!
