Where are they now?

Many former ASI student leaders are currently serving in leadership roles beyond their LBSU years. Although some got their start in ASB positions in High School, others gained experience in ASI at The Beach! Some of our leaders have gone on to work for the City of Long Beach, CSU Office of the Chancellor, and our very own Associated Students Inc. organization!. Robert Julio Garcia is an American educator and politician serving as the U.S. representative for California's 42nd congressional district since 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he served as the 28th mayor of Long Beach, California from 2014 to 2022.

Dr. Miles Nevin

Dr. Miles Nevin served as an ASI Commissioner for Public Relations (term?). He is now the Executive Director for Associated Students, Inc.

Suzie Price

Served as an Associate Justice, a student Senator and finally Student Body President (1994-1995). She now serves as a City Council member for the City of Long Beach.

Uduak-Joe Ntuk

Uduak-Joe Ntuk served as an ASI Senator (2004-2005). He currently serves as the President for the Long Beach City College Board of Trustees and the State Oil & Gas Supervisor for the California Energy Management Division (CalGEM).

Served as ASI President (1995 - 1997). He currently is the Chief Communications Officer, for Environmental Affairs at Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.
