SFAC Report
The final Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) report is the result of many discussions, feedback sessions, and collaborative efforts, which involved the entire campus community. It provides an overview of our engagement efforts, insights gained, and recommendations for the next steps in our journey to create a Future U that meets the needs of students now and in the future.
We presented this report on April 28, 2023, for the committee's consideration. SFAC voted to approve the proposal to renovate and expand the USU.
Feasibility Study
The feasibility study, conducted in collaboration with Canon Design, was a critical step in our journey to enhance student life on campus. Throughout the 2023-2024 academic year, we investigated the existing building and land to assess the project's feasibility. Our goal was to ensure that the proposed renovations and expansions meet the needs of our campus community while staying within budget. This study provides conceptual designs for the renovation and expansion, emphasizing how all the programmatic elements of the building and organization can be accommodated.
Additionally, the study was pivotal in confirming that our financial investments are sound and aligned with our strategic objectives. The report outlines the potential for transforming the USU into a vibrant hub for all LBSU students, offering a comprehensive overview of our findings and insights.
