Long Beach, Calif. - Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) is bringing Academy Award-winning, Grammy-nominated artist Juicy J to join Jeremih and Ella Mai on the Walter Pyramid stage for the 2017 ASI Big Event on May 12.
Co-founding Southern hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia in 1991, Juicy J has assembled a prolific body of work and is known today by Grammy-nominated song "Dark Horse" with Katy Perry and World Music Award-winning song "23" with Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa and Mike Will Made It. The Billboard chart-topping artists is one of a select few rappers with an Academy Award, which he won in 2006.
"The ASI Big Event is a chance to give back to students after all their hard work, allowing them to celebrate and end the year with a bang," said third year English major and Lead Program Assistant Kaila-Marie Hardaway. "There's always a lot of hype and energy surrounding the event, but we're raising the bar this year with what will be an unforgettable, unmissable performance."
Performing alongside Juicy J is R&B singer and songwriter Jeremih, whose catalogue boasts Billboard chart-topping songs like "Birthday Sex" and Grammy-nominated "Planez" featuring J. Cole.
Also taking the Walter Pyramid stage is London-based R&B singer Ella Mai, who The FADER dubbed "The New Queen Of The Breakup Anthem" for her hit single "She Don't" featuring Ty Dolla Sign.
