It's nice to have you back at Long Beach State, we hope you had a relaxing and rejuvenating winter break. Now that classes are starting up again here's some Week of Welcome (WOW) programming to look forward to in the coming weeks.
"It gives students the opportunity to explore the various clubs and organizations on campus and find ways to connect with others that have similar interests or objectives while at LBSU," Beach Pride Events (BPE) Program Assistant, Miriam Romero.
Registration for the virtual spring event is live now through January 29. The virtual involvement fair officially begins Jan. 25 and ends Jan. 29. Each day is filled with an assortment of informational sessions, fun events and university resource outreach opportunities.
"Register as a participant, download the WOW app and plan the sessions you'd like to attend," said Romero, "the app is a great resource to help log booths and information sessions."
BPE Week of Welcome To Do List:
- Explore the WOW app
- Attend the kick-off event
- Go to a student panel
- Check out campus resources
- Find a club matching my major/minor
- Choose a social interest club
- Attend a special event
Interested in participating? To register and check out the WOW event schedule, visit asicsulb.org/wow. Learn more about specific clubs, organizations or departments. Do your research on BeachSync and don't forget to download the app beforehand.
Also, look forward to Speed Friending Jan. 26, from 4:30 to 6 PM, and a DJ House Party on Jan. 27 from 8 to 10 PM. Don’t wait, find your place at the Beach and make campus connections with WOW. See you there!
