Whether you're heading to an early class, pulling a late-night study session or just need a midday pick-me-up, there's no shortage of great coffee spots here at Long Beach State University. (LBSU). From grab-and-go convenience to cozy corners perfect for catching up with friends or emails, here’s where to find your next cup of motivation.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) trailer is officially open and brewing on the HHS1 lawn! Stop by Monday through Friday, from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., for your favorite espresso drinks, matcha, fruit teas, and pastries. Even better, mobile ordering is back, so your caffeine fix is just a few taps away.

Bliss Coffee

Looking for something local with a seasonal flair? Bliss Coffee is now open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the FO3 Courtyard on upper campus, right next to Higher Taste (the açaí bowl vendor).

Their menu features vanilla bean lattes, dark chocolate mochas, strawberry matcha, chai lattes, herbal teas, and hot chocolate. Seasonal specials include pumpkin spice lattes, caramelized banana lattes, and caramelized banana matcha lattes.

Caffeine Lab

Located on the first floor of the University Library, the Caffeine Lab is a student favorite. It’s open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Saturday, and open Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.

Serving a full range of espresso drinks—lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos, and macchiatos. The Caffeine Lab also offers cold brew, boba, hot chocolate, and fresh pastries.

Outpost Grill / Outpost Convenience Store

Located on lower campus between the Vivian Engineering Center (VEC) and the Social Sciences/Public Administration (SSPA) building, Outpost is a campus staple.

Outpost Grill offers a variety of hot food options, including Papa John’s Pizza, and is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (closed on weekends).

The Outpost Convenience Store is ideal for grabbing a quick snack and savoring a cup of drip coffee. It’s open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., and closed on Sunday.

Beach Hut & Bookstore Convenience Store

For even more grab-and-go options, check out the two upper campus convenience stores—one near the Bookstore and the other next to the University Library by Central Quad. Both are great spots for snacks, drinks, and quick coffee runs.

The Bookstore Convenience Store is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and closed Sunday.

The Beach Hut Convenience Store offers extended evening hours: open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
