Did you know that just by working out you can be entered to win big money? Better yet, free tuition? It’s true! With Owen’s Condition for Tuition, you can win a full semester’s tuition just by utilizing your Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC) membership.
This tremendous scholarship program, stemming from the generosity of the Owen family, has been a Long Beach State tradition since 2011. Last year’s winner, Joskua Jancaa, is a huge supporter of Owen’s Condition for Tuition.
“Winning affected my life greatly,” Joskua enthusiastically stated. “From just stressing less about wondering how my tuition would be paid to making me more active and motivated to work out, it has helped me a lot.”
The program has encouraged thousands of students to get active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Following 30 minutes of exercise, students log their session into the biometrics scanner located near the exit of the facility. A total of 50 submitted sessions will enter the student into an opportunity drawing to win free tuition.
Joskua encourages all students to exercise and keep up their fitness, insisting that the SRWC is the place to be. “It’s the best place to start off and has great, new equipment available. The staff are really approachable which make the workouts more enjoyable and comfortable.”
