It’s that time of year again -- BeachScholarships, LBSU’s online scholarship system, is now accepting applications for the spring 2019 season!
BeachScholarships is the online portal operated by the Long Beach State Center for Scholarship Information (CSI), and offers easy access to thousands of scholarships totaling millions of dollars -- all for free! The portal can be accessed through students’ OKTA Single Sign-On account at www.csulb.edu/beachscholarships.
Using the platform is easy because BeachScholarships only uses a single application process for their scholarships. Students start by completing a general application with their basic information, which automatically enters them into several university-wide general scholarships. Then, the system unlocks a specialized list of recommended scholarship opportunities based on the information students provide!
“The scholarships process can sometimes be an ordeal,” said Oliver Mamangun, the CSI associate director. “But BeachScholarships helps simplify things by providing students hundreds of campus scholarships through one portal and one application process. The form saves your progress, making it simple and easy to complete any time prior to the deadline. The scholarship money will usually apply for the following academic year.
