Want to make your mark here at Long Beach State? Election season for student government positions starts soon. If you’re interested in running, make sure to take advantage of our info sessions to learn more!
- Thursday, Jan. 31 - 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, Feb. 5 - 12 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 6 - 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.
- Monday, Feb. 11 - 5 p.m.
These info sessions are designed to help you learn more about the elections process and candidate requirements. Anyone interested in learning more can drop in and hear what the elections process is like, what the expectations are of potential candidates and what positions are up for election.
“I encourage everyone who’s interested to at least try because you never know what’s going to happen,” said Helen Rodriguez, ASI’s current government elections officer. “When I got involved, I didn’t think I would run or that I would get this position. You never know until you try!”
If you miss the remaining sessions, you can also view our info video here.
