This semester may be coming to a close, but you have an awesome opportunity to get hyped about the spring: signups for Week of Welcome 2017!
Week of Welcome is a jam-packed student orientation event that kicks off the beginning of each semester. Student organizations and clubs from around campus showcase themselves and recruit new students. Each semester, more clubs join the tables—last spring boasting 250 organizations and the number is projected to grow!
“It’s extremely important to sign up because it’s a huge event attaining specifically to these groups,” said senior communications studies major and Beach Pride office assistant Sabrina Ware. “Clubs can showcase who they are and what they do, gather signups and participants, and the event creates an overall cohesiveness within our student body, showcasing the uniqueness and diversity of our students.”
Registration is currently open and will close on Friday, January 27 at 5 p.m. There will be no late registration and the event will take place on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 1 and 2, 2017 on the upper campus quad.
“There are so many resources, opportunities and niches for students to get involved on campus,” assured Ware. “Come be a part of it!”
