The fall semester may be winding down, but there are still some events students can partake in during the month of December!
The ASI Farmers Market is back with some new items in addition to your returning favorites. “Our most popular new booth this semester is the hot dogs and sausages,” said fourth year liberal studies major and Beach Pride Programs Assistant Jonathan Ibarra. “There’s a wide variety of dips and chips, desserts, and organic fruits and vegetables. At the end of the day, it’s also a great way to support the Long Beach community because they’re all local vendors.”
Wednesday, December 7
Friendship Walk
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Don’t forget to bring your reusable bag!
Later that evening, Beach Pride Events will be hosting one of its most popular bi-annual traditions: Speed Dating! “The purpose of the event is to help students connect to, create and maintain friendships with their peers at CSULB,” said third year communication studies major Rebecca Macareno. “Especially because we’re a commuter school, these sorts of events are really important for that.”
This semester’s coffee-themed event was inspired by the popular television series “Friends” and that’s exactly the environment that Beach Pride Events is trying to promote. As the lead programmer of this event, Macareno hopes that students will leave with at least one more friend than they already had.
Wednesday, Dec. 7
