There comes a time in every student’s life when they must ask themselves, “Is it time for me to start an internship?” If you find yourself in this conundrum, you’ve come to the right place. In less than 400 words, I’ll provide you with answers to your most pressing questions and clear up the fog surrounding internship season at Long Beach State.

So, is it time for you to get an internship? Typically, the answer depends on three things: your free time, your goals and your current level of experience. For a student with free time, the desire to build their resume and a lack of experience in their desired field, the answer is a resounding, “Yes!” Since free time is typically the most difficult requirement for students to meet, see if you can schedule classes and jobs around a potential internship to maximize your time management.

Now that the question of “Should I?” has been answered, you might be wondering, “Where can I find all of these fabled internships?” Luckily for you, LBSU has set up several avenues for you to find the right internship depending on your interests, student level, major and several other considerations.
