Description

Switzer Falls Day Hiking

Join us as we explore Switzer Falls on Feb. 8, a historic and beautiful waterfall located in our nearby Angeles National Forest. This 4 mile hike will take us along the impressive Gabrielino Trail amid beautiful Douglas firs and Jeffrey pines. Equipment, transportation and food will be provided. The deadline to sign up is Feb. 2 at 11:59 p.m.

Cost: Student $35; Non-student $70

Escondido Falls Day Hiking

Join Rock and Outdoor Adventure (ROA) Feb. 22 for a refreshing 3.8 mile hike to Escondido Falls in Malibu! This trail offers amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and ends at a stunning 50 foot waterfall. It’s the perfect way to explore California’s natural beauty with friends. Lunch and transportation are provided. The deadline to sign up is Feb. 16 at 11:59 p.m.

Stoney Point Climbing

Join ROA March 8 for an all-day climbing trip at Stoney Point! This trip is great for beginners and climbing enthusiasts alike who want to experience outdoor climbing, including top roping and bouldering. Lunch, gear, instruction and transportation are included. The deadline to sign up is March 2 at 11:59 p.m.

Crystal Cove Day Hike

Join us for a guided day hike on March 22 through the stunning trails of Crystal Cove State Park. Explore breathtaking coastal views, serene canyons and vibrant wildflowers as we immerse ourselves in nature's beauty. Perfect for all skill levels, this hike offers a chance to unwind, connect and create lasting memories. Lunch and transportation will be provided. The deadline to sign up is March 16 at 11:59 p.m.

Joshua Tree Hike & Camp

Spend the weekend of April 12 and 13 hiking around Joshua trees, unique geologic features and remnants of past mining/ranching operations. Then enjoy the evening relaxing, eating a hot meal and taking in the starry desert night sky. Wake up and do it all again! Hikes are all rated as easy-moderate. Food, transportation and equipment will be provided. The deadline to sign up is April 6 at 11:59 p.m.

Mandatory pre-trip meeting: April 9 at 6 p.m.

Naples Paddleboarding

Hang with ROA April 26 for a guided paddleboarding tour of the Naples Marina in Long Beach. We’ll depart from Mother’s Beach and explore the beautiful marina. Food, equipment and transportation provided. The deadline to sign up is April 20 at 11:59 p.m.

Crystal Cove Overnight Backpacking

Looking to take your outdoor repertoire to the next level? Want the satisfaction of hiking to see sights few day-hikers will ever see? Come backpacking with us May 3 and 4 at Crystal Cove State Beach. Journey through 5 miles of moderately challenging hiking in the hills of this beautiful beach. Food, gear and transportation are included. The deadline to sign up is April 27 at 11:59 p.m.

Mandatory pre-trip meeting: April 30 at 6 p.m.
