As the Fourth of July approaches, the barrage of nightly fireworks around many of our neighborhoods only seems to get louder. If you're a pet owner, you might spend your nights worried about how they’ll react to the loud explosions, and the holiday might cause more anxiety than excitement. Here are a few quick tips to help keep your pets safe and calm amidst the chaos outside.
1. Research & Learn
Listen to Spotify Podcasts, watch YouTube Documentaries and follow leaders of informed groups. Our ASI Executive Officers have already compiled a list of resources for you to learn about the current issues going on right now. You can choose to read, donate, shop black-owned businesses, sign petitions, watch videos, or listen to conversations being held in the present about pressing issues.
2. Promote Voter Registration
Go to vote.org and make sure you’re registered to vote in the 2020 election. Share the link on your social media platforms and talk about in with your friends and family. Help others and you make informed decisions.
