Where to Eat While the USU is Closed
Temporary Food Service Locations
As part of the Future U renovation project, the University Student Union (USU) will close in August 2025 and reopen in Summer 2028. During this time, a variety of food options will be available across campus to ensure convenience and accessibility for the entire campus community.
On-Campus Food Options
Wall StrEAT Café
- Location: Beach Circle, located in front of the College of Business (COB)
- Features a variety of grab-and-go meals and snacks.
Coffee Box
- Location: Lawn between COB and the parking structure
- Serving freshly brewed coffee, tea, and light snacks.
Kitchen Trailers
- Locations: Health and Human Services 1 (HHS1) lawn, Peterson Hall 1 (PH1), and Fine Arts 1 (FA1)
- Offering hot meals and a rotating menu of campus favorites.
Vending Machines
- Locations: College of Profession and Continuing Education (CPACE), Faculty Offices 3 (FO3), College of Liberal Arts (CLA), Academic Services (AS)/Beach Hut, and Residential Dining
- Fresh food vending machines placed across campus for quick and easy access.
Expanded Food Services
Fooda
- Locations: Bookstore, Faculty Offices 2 (FO2) and Liberal Arts 1 (LA1) Courtyard
- A rotating selection of local restaurants will pop up to provide diverse meal options. Check the Fooda app to see upcoming vendors.
Farmers Market & Street Vendors
- Location: Friendship Walk
- Enjoy fresh, locally sourced goods and specialty snacks from pop-up vendors.
Dining Spaces
Outdoor seating areas will be set up near food service locations, utilizing furniture from the USU to maintain a comfortable dining experience.
