Did you know there is a new Run Club on campus? Or that you can hike your way to earn rewards? Join us and participate in some out-of-the-box things that will get you excited and feeling on top of the world this summer.

Tune out and let loose with endorphin-boosting activities! Join our new Run Club created by the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC). Running not your thing? Participate in the SRWC’s summer hiking challenge. Track your miles with the Strava app. Current student members can win special fitness-related prizes.

Maybe you want to stay closer to campus and try something small before going big. Register for on-site, group exercise classes. Options include outdoor spin, flow yoga, grounded yoga and mindful yoga. Sign-up for a session through the SRWC Go app today. For students interested in movies or games, Beach Pride Events (BPE) and the Games Center has some fun programs this summer. Unwind with other students and mark your calendar with virtual trivia and bingo nights. BPE is also releasing free, virtual movie screenings through the single sign-on app. Make a night out of it and host a virtual movie night with other LBSU students! Finally, those looking to get creative can sign up for a free DIY kit. In celebration of Pride Month BPE has Pride-themed embroidery kits for students. Kits come with innovative designs, easy step-by-step instructions, and the necessary materials. Make a masterpiece, register from June 28 through July 2, or while supplies last. DIY Kits will be mailed to your home.

Ride a new wave and soak in the season with these fun-filled pastimes. Our pro tip: Make a list of the activities you want to try this summer. Title it, "Summer Bucket List." Each time you complete something new, mark off the box on your list. Challenge yourself to get active or try some new things. How many great adventures will you dive into?
