Calling all student organizations! Enter the Student Organization Voter Registration Competition for a chance to win funding for your student club account. The top two organizations with the most Beach students registered will win prizes. The competition lasts through the special gubernatorial recall election day on Sept. 14.
For entries to be counted, register students at asicsulb.org/vote2021. Your student organizations must also fill out a Google Form to track entries. Even though the Aug.30 voter registration deadline has passed, you can still register students to vote thanks to the California Elections Law; conditional voter registration. They can register online and take their voter registration or receipt to a voting location. They will also need to bring a California ID card and provide the last four digits of their Social Security Number at the polling location.
The student organization that registers the most students will win $200, and the second-place organization will win $100 for their accounts. You can register any student or faculty at Long Beach State University (LBSU), not just your organization’s members! However, registrants must be affiliated with the university, so registering a student from another school will not count towards submissions.
All entries for voter registration assist LBSU in achieving victory at the Ballot Bowl; a statewide voter registration competition between all California State Universities, University of California, California community colleges and California private universities. We are currently in second place, behind Chico State and hope to pull ahead for the victory! LBSU won the Ballot Bowl last year, will you help us take the title yet again?
