James Ahumada appointed as new head of ASI Communications.
Long Beach, Calif. - Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) is proud to announce the appointment of James Ahumada to the position of ASI Senior Communications Manager.
In this new role, Ahumada will join University Student Union senior management in their efforts to ensure effective, ongoing communication and coordination among the various departments within ASI and across the university. Specifically, Ahumada will serve as the chief spokesperson and media contact for Associated Students' services, programs and assets, including the University Student Union, Student Recreation & Wellness Center, Isabel Patterson Child Development Center and ASI Recycling Center. Ahumada will also run the day-to-day operations of ASI Communications: the public affairs, marketing, video and web services department for Associated Students.
Ahumada joins the team bringing a wealth of experience in communications and public relations having worked several years in Congress as a legislative assistant and deputy press secretary and with CSULB ASI as interim communications manager.
