Results Announced, Officers Elected to ASI Student Government for 2021-2022

ASI elects new officers to represent Long Beach State students.

Long Beach, Calif. - Earlier this morning, the ASI Judiciary and the Government Elections Officer Helen Rodriguez certified the results of the 2021 ASI Student Government Elections. The following candidates were elected to the Executive Officer positions.

Jesus E. Gonzalez

ASI President-elect

66.86% of the vote

Lindsay Apaza

ASI Vice-President-elect

100% of the vote

The 2021 elections process was fully virtual this year, with all campaigning and ASI marketing occurring online. In total, 2,043 votes were cast at 5.54% of the eligible-to-vote student population. The full results for the ASI Senate/Board of Directors, the University Student Union Board of Trustees and ASI Chapter 1 Bylaw amendment can be found at www.asicsulb.org/gov.

All newly elected representatives will take office June 1, 2021.
