Make Your Voice Heard Through the Campus Climate Survey

Published: Friday, 21 February 2020

While CSULB is home to many great departments, resources, communities and more, we understand that things can always be improved. Our campus climate is constantly changing, which is why every student should take part in the Campus Climate survey. This quick online questionnaire lets you express any and all concerns you might have about being a student at CSULB, no matter how small you might think they are. The survey was sent on Feb. 20, and upon completion of the survey the first 1,000 students will receive a $10 Amazon/BeachBucks gift card, and all respondents will be entered into a drawing to win one of the following prizes: Apple iPad, AirPods, Nintendo Switch, $25 Coffee Bean Gift Card, or $25 Amazon Gift Card!

Recently, both Provost Jersky and President Conoley sent out messages to our community regarding the importance of this survey, and they are right. As students, we must value this opportunity – and we cannot stress enough how beneficial it will be if students have strong participation in this survey. This is the first time we have had the opportunity to express our feelings on such a wide range of campus issues. From identity recognition, to perceived respect (or lack thereof) – students can feel free to report what is on their mind in a way that will be heard.

The results of this survey will be sent directly to the Campus Climate Committee, Academic Senate, ASI and Staff Council, all of which have the power to change the direction of our campus in meaningful ways. We have a genuine chance to make our issues known and make our university truly work for the nearly 40,000 students that walk its pathways every day.

Don’t miss your opportunity to have a say in what CSULB should be. For more info on the campus climate survey, visit https://www.csulb.edu/campus-climate/campus-partners.
