Throughout October, ASI Beach Pride Events (BPE), Multicultural Affairs and various other campus partners will be hosting an array of events in celebration of “coming out” and taking pride in one’s identity.

The Beach’s favorite carnival is back with an exciting twist – Smorgasport 2018! Ending summer festivities and kicking off the school year, this year’s sunset carnival will be taking place the Friday before school starts, August 24.

The Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC) is embracing Halloween with new spooks and scares for you and your friends! Check out the continuation of the SRWC Outdoor Movie Series with a free showing of Pirates of the Caribbean, free food and themed challenges! Participants can win prizes by completing a “walk the plank” challenge and a costume challenge with a pirate and ghost theme.

Everyone’s favorite tailgate is here! Homecoming 2017 will kick off basketball season at the Beach with a party you won’t want to miss. While checking out food trucks and henna and caricature artists, students can win free T-shirts and enjoy activities like poster and bandana making. Free to students, the festivities will take place in Parking Lot 13 on November 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
